After months of speculation and inquiries, Gold City officially announced this week that Brian Free and Ivan Parker have departed from the group. New members will be announced “soon.”

The Booth Brothers, Jim & Melissa Brady, and Buddy Mullins’ Hope for the World have announced a merger of their respective ministries. The all-encompassing group will be known as The Booth Brothers.

Scott Godsey, president of Godsey Media Management, Seawalker Media, Singing News TV,  Singing News Radio, Singing News Magazine, the Singing News Fan Awards, singingnews.com, and the Singing News Social Media Accounts, has announced he is in talks for a new business venture with Bill Gaither, Gerald Wolfe, Ken Hamm, Mark Blackwood, and the ghost of JD Sumner. The company’s first project will be a remake of the gospel music classic film, “Sing A Song For Heaven’s Sake.”

The National Quartet Convention has announced a planned new afternoon stage production of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple,” has been cancelled. Originally slated to star Pat Barker, the production hit a snag when organizers were unable to find an individual willing to share the stage with Pat Barker.

MusicScribe has announced immediate disciplinary action against an unnamed staff writer. Site owner/operator, David Bruce Murray, said in a quote, “Since this is a personnel issue, I am not a liberty to discuss the situation further, but I honestly don’t know why I haven’t just changed that bald guy’s password at this point…”

    Brian Free and Ivan Parker left Gold City??? Say it ain’t so??? Love the Hoppers new Christmas CD cover pic. Can’t wait to see what cover they use on it next year! LOL!
