You all have posted a video of a group out of Oklahoma called The Helmsmen. It was from the Sing Ont America program from the 80’s… I have been trying to get access to these for YEARS and have been unsuccessful. Do you all have access to these videos besides the one you have posted of them? There were several of them over the years. This was my grandpas group, and he recently passed away and we have little to no actual video of them singing together. If you all have access or could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly. I am willing to pay for the copies or whatever you need.
    Thank You!

I am seeking old recordings of the Florida Boys and the Dixie Echoes when the lead singer was Doyle Wiggins. He lost all recordings he had and now at 87 years of age and failing health the family would like the recordings for him to listen to, to have as keepsakes and to share with his great grand children, grand children and family members who never heard him sing. This had been a search I have been doing for over 10 years and thus far have only found one 45 recording.

David Bruce Murray … there’s a name I haven’t seen or heard in years! Do hope you are well. Miss my connection with folks like you and a greater connection to Southern Gospel, but life moves on. Arrived here via Ruth Frew’s FB page, she certainly has earned the #1 Fan award.

*According to Lew Garrison and Ed Hill, no recordings were made with Fred Rose, Ralph Jarman, Jack Toney, Charles Yates, Little David Young, or Lavonne Bean. Lavonne says that he is the bass singer on “I Know”. It is also possible that Gary Timbs never actually recorded with the group, but his presence was certainly evident on their final recording. Linda Robinson also played for the group, but these were all studio recordings.
