GOSPEL MUSIC HAPPENINGS

The Southern Gospel Music Association announced the 2019 inductees to the Hall Of Fame are former Kingsmen tenor Ernie Phillips, Wilburns patriarch Jackie Wilburn, Greater Vision’s Gerald Wolfe, and McKameys bass singer Ruben Bean.

Christian Country quartet Carolina announced their appearances are now being handled by The Dominion Agency.

The Troy Burns Family announced the addition of baritone Jacob Whisnant.

Tribute Quartet lead singer Gary Casto was recognized by West Virginia governor Jim Justice as a “Distinguished Mountaineer.” This honor was bestowed on Casto in recognition of his efforts, accomplishments, and successes in the field of Gospel music and performance.

Coastal Media, producers of the annual Creekside Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN, announced they have taken on promotion duties for Gospel Music Expo, a long-standing annual event in Tupelo, Mississippi.
