The Talleys didn’t release a new album for 2 years, and with this latest release, and being the trendsetters that they were, they went in a new musical direction, once again proving their versatility.

The Hemphills – “Sing the Glory Down” (1974)
1974 saw the Hemphills release 2 studio albums. The title song was the Hemphills their first huge hit with Heartwarming, and thus began a long string of hits for the group.
The Hemphills – “Ready to Leave” (1974)
1974 was the start of really big things for the Hemphills, as their music really began gaining some major traction. “Ready to Leave” was a tremendous album for the group and was only the beginning of great thing!
The Hemphills – “In Action” (1973)
The Hemphills’ only release for 1973, was this live gem, that was originally released independently before being picked up by Heartwarming Records. It’s a wonderfully raw and genuine live album, showcasing the Hemphills “In Action”!
The Hemphills – “Sweet Zion’s Song” (1972)
For their last album on Canaan, the Hemphills released “Sweet Zion’s Song” during the second half of 1972. A mix of newly penned Hemphill tunes along with popular cover tunes of the day, it was a unique mix of songs, all done in typical Hemphill style!
The Kingsmen – “Shelter” (1999)
“Shelter” was a monumental recording for the Kingsmen, as they returned more to their roots with this release. It’s a fantastic recording…check out the article and let us know what you think!
The Kingsmen – “You’re Not Alone” (1997)
One of the most diverse recordings the Kingsmen recorded is “You’re Not Alone”. Lots of changes both professionally and personally were taking place, allowing the Kingsmen to step out musically.
