Gold City announced the immediate departure of lead singer Bruce Taliaferro. Taliaferro began his second stint with Gold City in 2020 after previously singing with the group from 2008 to 2010. The National Quartet Convention and Blue Gate Theater in Shipshewana, Indiana have partnered to create a new concert event in October 2022 called Shipshewana Amish Country Jubilee. The three-day event will kick off with an evening featuring Gaither Vocal Band alumni Mark Lowry, Guy Penrod, and David Phelps and conclude with an evening featuring Second-Half Quartet and associated groups.
Abraham Productions announced Roger Talley is resigning from the company’s Board of Directors after serving since 2004. At the same time, Abraham Productions announced the additions of David Sutton, Clayton Inman, Scotty Inman, and Eric Bennett (collectively billed as Triumphant Quartet) to the board.
Tim Lovelace launched a new podcast called Moment That Motivate which is available on most major podcasting platforms.
REMEMBERING
Singer, songwriter, speaker, author, and revival coordinator Kyla Rowland passed away on Wednesday, January 12. Rowland’s funeral service will be held tomorrow, January 15 in LaFollette, Tennessee.
