NEWS OF THE WEEK

Ernie Haase announced 12-year veteran bass singer Paul Harkey is leaving Signature Sound at the end of May.
Haase also announced Harkey’s replacement will be Christopher Taylor from Miami, Florida, a new face on the Southern Gospel concert circuit. Taylor is already traveling with the group being mentored by Harkey during the transition. Taylor’s first official appearance will be during the Memphis Quartet Show in June when Signature Sound records a brand-new live album.
The Memphis Quartet Show announced the live album to be recorded by Signature Sound at their event in June will also feature special guests Duane Allen and the Blackwood Brothers.
Greater Vision and The Mylon Hayes Family announced they will unite for an 8-city Christmas tour this fall.
During a ceremony last night in Greenville, South Carolina, the South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall Of Fame posthumously inducted Mark Ferguson. Ferguson was host of the Southern Gospel radio program Sunday In The South for more than 30 years. Country music star Josh Turner (“Long Black Train”), female vocal group Point Of Grace (“Keep The Candle Burning”), and international film star Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) were also among the thirteen inductees honored last night.

PRAISE REPORT
Jonathan Wilburn requested prayers for his mother, Elaine Wilburn, last Saturday morning after doctors initially reported finding a mass on her brain.
