NEWS OF THE WEEK

Gerald Wolfe has announced the immediate suspension of all Greater Vision physical product sales. Effective immediately, all GV products, including new releases, back catalog, and t-shirts, will be available exclusively via Napster.

The Brothers Quartet of Rossmoyne, Ohio, have announced that, following a five year hiatus, they will resume singing once every five years. The group is now accepting tour dates.

Triumphant Quartet has signed an early-access deal with Elevation Worship. The deal includes exclusive Southern Gospel genre recording rights to all future Elevation Worship singles, with a minimum of two songs per album. While details of the agreement have not been made public, founding member/songwriter/producer/arranger/vocalist/secret weapon, Scotty Inman has disclosed that Triumphant reserves the right to remove 4 minutes of bridges and/or insert related hymns as the group sees fit.

Due to a recent change in Facebook group admin policy, all future posts in Southern Gospel-related Facebook groups will automatically be closed for comment immediately upon posting, with every fourth post automatically deleted.

Gaither Music Group has created 362 new streaming playlists this week, including “The Best of Homecoming Minneapolis 1998 Afternoon Sound Check,” “Artists That Appeared In The Background,” and “Singers We Wish Would’ve Done A Gaither Video,” a special playlist consisting of absolutely zero Homecoming artists.

Scott Godsey, founder of Godsey Media Management, announced that all future southern gospel concerts by all artists ever will be streamed online. Tickets are available now.

David Bruce Murray has announced the sale of Musicscribe.com to co-writer Kyle Boreing for an undisclosed sum. Boreing announced his intent to transition the blog into an Entertainment Ministry-focused site, with a bonus weekly Libertarian think-tank piece.
