Gospel Music Happenings

  • Karen Peck & New River announced the addition of vocalist Grant Gibson. Gibson replaces Ricky Braddy who left the group approximately three months ago.
  • In related news, Gibson’s former group, 11th Hour, is taking auditions for a lead vocalist. Logan Smith will be filling in until a replacement for Gibson is named. Interested parties should send a resume to 11thhourgg@gmail.com
  • Today it was announced that The Hoppers will be honored with induction into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. Other inductees include John Tesh, Chris Daughtry, Dolphus Ramseur, Luther Barnes, Calvin Richardson, and Blind Boy Fuller. The induction is set to take place on October 18, 2018, in Kannapolis, NC.
  • 2018 winners at the Christian Worldview Film Festival include Matthew Reith of Southern Raised, who finished in fourth place in the Fatherhood Commission Short Film Contest with his entry, “Wanna Be.” View Reith’s winning film below, and click HERE to view the list of all the winners.
