I hope everyone enjoyed our “fake news” News Nuggets entry posted on April 1. Last Week’s Happenings
- Southern Gospel Media announced they will be handling social media marketing and publicity for the Wilmington Celebration Choir of Wilmington, North Carolina.
- Bill & Gloria Gaither announced their Gaither specials will be returning to Dish Network on channel 277 effective April 1.
- Chapel Valley Music announced a recording agreement with Chad Erickson of Maryville, TN. Chad’s music will be released on Chapel Valley’s Upper Room label.
- The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) released figures last Thursday indicating the amount of revenue generated by streaming music in 2016 exceeded 50% of total music sales. For the first time in history, streaming sales account for more income than than all other forms of music sales (CDs, downloads, LPs, etc.) combined.
Prayer Request
- Please remember Dixie Melody Boys lead singer Josh Garner in your prayers. He announced doctors have discovered a nodule on one of his vocal cords which will prevent him from singing for an unknown period of time. Keep the group in your prayers as well.
