NEWS NUGGETS
In a Facebook video this week, Brad Strider of Mercy’s Well said the group’s new lead singer will be introduced this coming Sunday morning at 10:00 AM at Hopedale Church in Burlington, North Carolina. Mercy’s Well has sung at this church throughout their 25-year history, and it also happens to be the church where departing lead singer Jake Wood made his debut performance with Mercy’s Well 11 years ago. In addition to introducing their new singer, it will be the final performance for Wood with Mercy’s Well.
Clarke Beasley and Gerald Wolfe represented the National Quartet Convention this past week at a booth set up during the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando, Florida.
Larry Orrell, Gordon Jensen, Wayne Hilton, Steve Speer, Duane Allen, Gary Prim, and several others met this past Tuesday and Wednesday in Brentwood, Tennessee for an Orrells reunion. Video footage from this event will be used to create a documentary film in the future. Â
