NEWS NUGGETS

Horizon Records announced they have signed The Rogers Family of North Carolina to their roster of Southern Gospel artists. The group’s first single, “He’s Still God,” will release on September 26.

The Chuck Wagon Gang announced the addition of upright bass guitar player Roger Newman. Newman is a retired police captain. He performed previously for 25 years with the Eastwind Bluegrass Band. 

GFM Productions announced they have expanded their leadership team to include Dean Hopper, Kim Hopper, and Paul Mead. Dean will hold the title of Vice President while Kim’s role will be to enrich the creative and operational vision of GFM. Mead has been named the company’s new Chief Financial Officer.

    According to a post for “Southern Gospel Prizes,” the Guardians’ new album releases 10/17. The album cover appears in the post as part of the graphic for the contest. I searched for another post about the album, but that was the only post I saw with the album cover.
