Singing News Radio announced several changes in programming:
1. The long-running program Gospel Music Today hosted by Ken & Jean Grady will join the network in April
2. Joseph Reed is the new voice of Singing News Weekly Top 20 Countdown, replacing Greg Goodman
3. Rick Francis will host a new show that reflects on the genre’s history called Gospel Classics
4. New shows highlighting new music are launching titled Momentum (hosted by Jake Sammons) & The Edge (hosted by Scott Godsey)
Karen Peck surprised Jimmy Swaggart at his 90th birthday celebration with the announcement that he will be one of the four inductees to the Southern Gospel Music Association’s Hall Of Fame in September.
Bluegrass Gospel group Authentic Unlimited announced the addition of instrumental/vocalist Colton Baker. Baker, who previously traveled with IIIrd Tyme Out, replaces John Meador.
William Lee Golden & The Goldens were inducted into the 28th Annual North American Country Music Association International (NACMAI) along with Billy Dean, Marty Raybon (of Shenandoah), and Mark Wills.
