Several Christmas tours are happening this year including the Family & Friends Tour (Mylon Hayes Family/Greater Vision), A Jazzy Little Christmas (Ernie Haase & Signature Sound), and A True Family Christmas (The Collingsworth Family). Also, Singing News TV will stream the Christmas with Tate live concert on Sunday, December 1st at 6 PM featuring Tate Emmons.

The Browns were honored last week by U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), who is the Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee. During a special ceremony, Ernst named The Browns’ Century Theater of Plymouth County the Small Business of the Week.

REMEMBERING

Author and journalist Timothy “Tim” Gardner passed away on Sunday, November 17. Gardner authored or contributed to several Southern Gospel history books including The Weatherfords: Gospel Music And Legacy and What a Wonderful Time (the definitive history of The Inspirations). He also worked for seventeen years as publicist and assistant for Inspirations founder Martin Cook. He was a frequent contributor to Singing News articles and area newspapers in the North Carolina mountains.  A memorial service for Gardner will be held tomorrow in Newland, North Carolina.
