NEWS OF THE WEEK

Singing News announced the Top 10 nominees in 20 Fan Awards categories. Subscribers will vote in May to choose the Top 5.

Artist Resource Services (ARS) announced they have added Southern Gospel veterans Steve Ladd and Debra Perry & Jaidyn’s Call and newcomer Tate Emmons to their roster of artists.

Sea Walker Media Corporation announced Dr. Tim Hill has joined their Board of Directors. Hill is the General Overseer of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee).

The National Quartet Convention announced they have added riser seating for the 2024 event. NQC had previously announced a return to a center stage layout as used in 2019 and prior years, but they did not initially restore the riser seating they had offered in 2019.

Carolina Gospel Association announced their annual concert series will move to a new venue for the first time in the organization’s 28-year history. The 2024-2025 series beginning this fall will be held at the Don Gibson Theater in Shelby, North Carolina and feature five concerts. The final concert at RS Central High School in Rutherfordton, North Carolina was held yesterday.

SiriusXM station “enLighten” has been rebranded as “Bill Gaither’s enLighten.” The station will remain at channel 65.

PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for Kingdom Heirs tenor Joshua Horrell who became ill Wednesday at Dollywood and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Horrell was released later Wednesday with doctor’s orders to take it easy for a few days.
