NEWS OF THE WEEK

The Gaither Vocal Band announced their 16-city Moments To Remember tour will launch in the Spring.

Artist Resource Services, the independent artist and label services arm of New Day Christian Distributors, announced they have added Kim Pennington as Director of Radio Promotions effective January 1. Previous director Tiffany Noecker will now focus on the artists on the Daywind Records and New Day Records labels.

19-year-old bass singer Brady Jones is currently riding the bus with the Kingsmen Quartet and filling the on-stage position vacated by Drew Laney in mid-December.

      Yes, you mentioned that in a previous comment.

      I read about that also in their Singing News cover story that a new album was on the way. It’s a shame they nor their record label bothered to announce the title or put any artwork out for it. You’d think someone who markets their music might even…oh I don’t know…put it on their Facebook page.

      We’d love to include it in our list of upcoming releases, but we can’t read their minds.

      As a follow-up…with this being the final Friday of January (Friday is standard “release day” each week in the industry), I’m going to assume the writer of the Singing News article either made a mistake or something happened to delay the release of the Legacy Five album.

      There’s still nothing out about any upcoming release either on their website or social media.
