On Sunday night at the National Quartet Convention, the Kingdom Heirs introduced Chris Bryant as their new lead singer. Loren Harris’ health issues forced him to resign from the group recently. Bryant has filled in during Harris’ absence for the past several weeks.
Anthem Edition announced the resignation of tenor singer Steve Ladd and the hiring of his replacement Cameron Edens. Edens is a newcomer to the industry who lives in South Carolina. In the same press release, the group announced the additions of pianist Joshua Stone who credits Anthem Edition with inspiring him to pursue a gospel music career when he was nine years old and saw them perform. New sound engineer Sean Chapman is the third addition announced in the press release. Chapman is the son of Gold City bass singer Jeff Chapman.
In a related press release, Steve Ladd announced he is returning to a solo ministry and emphasized one component going into his decision was the fact that his wife Megan can travel with him to concerts.
Carley Arrowood was named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Vocalist of the Year at Wednesday’s Momentum Awards Luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina. Arrowood’s husband Daniel Thrailkill won in the same category in 2018.
