NEWS OF THE WEEK

Southern Gospel super fan Nicholas Wilke announced he has joined the staff at The Life FM Network as a correspondent. Wilkie’s interviews will be aired weekly on their “Friends & Family” morning show.

The Gospel Music Association announced their nominees for the 54th Dove Awards to be presented October 17 and aired October 20 on TBN. Click HERE to view the entire list of nominees.  

The Southern Gospel Music Association announced the rest of the 2023 Hall Of Fame class over the past few days. Former A&R director and Daywind Vice-President Norman Holland, former Cathedrals tenor and current soloist Danny Funderburk, and recently retired 50-year member of the Primitive Quartet Reagan Riddle will join former Speers soprano and Gaither Gospel Series star Sue Dodge (who was announced last week).

The Southern Gospel Music Association’s Hall Of Fame & Museum located at Biblical Times Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee features a large wall of plaques for most inductees. Twenty-one members of the Hall Of Fame are currently in need of benefactors to help cover the $2500 cost of completing their plaques. PRAYER REQUEST

Please pray for the Chuck Wagon Gang as they raise funds to replace a vehicle, trailer, equipment, and recorded product after a wreck last weekend. Injuries were thankfully minor.

REMEMBERING

Songfellows Quartet owner and former president of Samick USA, Bob Jones, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 7. A memorial service for Jones is planned for Monday, August 14 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. A complete obituary is/will be posted HERE.
