NEWS OF THE WEEK

Choral music publisher Brentwood-Benson reopened this week after an 18-month absence. The assets of Brentwood-Benson were acquired in January 2023 by Celebrating Grace from former owner Capitol Christian Music Group, which abruptly shut the company down in December 2021. Former Brentwood-Benson President Dale Mathews is returning to lead the company with a new title, Executive Vice President.

StowTown Records announced the addition of the Shenandoah Valley-based PromisedLand Quartet to their roster of recording artists. A new recording titled Golden Road is set to release later this year. (Editor’s Note: PromisedLand Quartet baritone singer Aaron Swain is a MusicScribe and SGHistory contributor.)

The Harper Agency now represents HighRoad.
