NEWS OF THE WEEK

Terry Franklin, Gus Gaches, Terry Blackwood, and Jeff Pearles were in the recording studio eight hours on Wednesday singing background vocals for an upcoming Carroll Roberson recording.

The Kingdom Heirs (via drummer Dennis Murphy) announced the group is adding a utility musician to the band. Recent concert attendees have already seen a utility musician appearing with the band, but an official hire has not yet been named.

The next season of Gospel Music Showcase starts tomorrow on the Daystar Television Network. Hosted by Guy Penrod, the first episode of the latest season features Tribute Quartet.

REMEMBERING

Beloved pastor, author, In Touch Ministries speaker, and Singing News columnist Dr. Charles Stanley passed away on Tuesday at the age of 90. A public repose will be held Saturday at First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The family has planned a private memorial service.
