NEWS OF THE WEEK

In Touch Ministries will be the new title sponsor for the 2023 National Quartet Convention this fall. In Touch is the teaching ministry of Dr. Charles Stanley.

Voting is now open for the 22nd Annual Absolutely Gospel Music Awards. Click HERE for details on how to vote.

Singing News announced the return of a weekly radio airplay chart as well as a weekly Top 20 Countdown Show that will appear on Singing News Radio and Singing News TV hosted by Greg Goodman. The initial chart will be published on February 7.

Tickets are now on sale for the final performance of the Primitive Quartet. Although the group had previously announced they would retire in April 2023, the final concert is actually set for Saturday, May 20 in White Pine, Tennessee.

REMEMBERING

A Celebration of Life service will be held for former Singing News editor Jerry Kirksey on Wednesday, February 15 Graceville, Florida. Kirksey passed away on January 25.

A Celebration of Life service for former Thrasher Brothers singer Buddy Thrasher will be held in Birmingham, Alabama tomorrow. Thrasher passed away on January 23.

    I feel like I’ve seen 5,000 advertisements for the Primitive Quartet’s final concert. This is the first time I’ve seen the location given. LOL

      I’ve seen some of those ads as well. It rather baffling how that could get by the proofreading stage and go out like that.

      Almost. It’s Amber Saunders (11th Hour) rather than Amber Thompson. They’ll have a single out soon.
