NEWS OF THE WEEK

The Nelon’s Amber Kistler has joined the cast of Bill Gaither’s Homecoming Radio. Kistler laughingly said Gaither wanted to add another female personality to the broadcast to work alongside Tori Taff and “for whatever reason, he chose me!”

PRAISE REPORT

Becky Isaacs Bowman performed at the Grand Ole Opry with The Isaacs last Friday. It was Bowman’s first public performance since her December car accident.

Brothers Of The Heart tenor and soloist Jimmy Fortune was able to return home on Tuesday after quintuple heart bypass surgery the previous Wednesday. Fortune expressed his appreciation for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers.

REMEMBERING

David Folenius of the family duo Folenius passed away on Wednesday after a bout with liver and bone cancer. He had previously performed with Master’s Voice and The Williamsons. A memorial service for Folenius will be held on Tuesday in Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Former Director of Advertising for Singing News Pam Slaney passed away on February 15 after several months of declining health.

Buddy Steve Whitener who sang for 33 years with The Echoes Of Hickory passed away on February 18. A memorial service for Whitener will be held tomorrow in Hickory, North Carolina.
