RECENT HAPPENINGS

The Southern Gospel Music Association surprised record executive Chris White and SGMA president Arthur Rice with the news they will be inducted into the SGMA Hall Of Fame at a ceremony during the National Quartet Convention this fall.

As reported in the April 8, 2022 edition of NewsNuggets, the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame will induct singer Janet Paschal in an upcoming October ceremony. A follow-up press release this week adds that Paschal has provided memorabilia for her exhibit in the museum including a performance dress, a key to the City of Reidsville, and multiple awards including Dove Award nominations from 1978 & 1979-80 when she was nominated back-to-back for Female Gospel Vocalist of the Year.

Arthur Rice is just one of a few from Dollywoods own that deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame.
    Glad to see it!
