#NewsNuggets: 4-29-22

by | Apr 29, 2022 | News

The Primitive Quartet announced they intend to sing full-time for the next 12 months to complete 50 years since the founding of the group in 1973. After that, they will cease full-time travel, but will still perform from time to time.

Singing News notified Fan Awards voters this morning of a formatting issue on the online ballot that opened for voting earlier this week. The issue has been corrected and anyone who voted during the affected period must cast their votes again in order to be counted. If you voted this week, be sure to check your email (and spam filter) for the Singing News email which includes a link to recast your vote.

I seem to remember an online voting snafu last year as well with the Singing New Fan Awards. I respectfully observe that they have an entire year to get the system worked out before voting begins, but it seems they are playing catch-up in the moment after the voting starts. If this kind of thing continues it will reduce the desire of both artists and listeners to participate with or promote the awards.
