Lynda Randle made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry on February 15. Randle performed her new single “Plenty Good Room” and also sang “God On The Mountain.”

Beckie Simmons announced the addition of The Down East Boys to the Beckie Simmons Agency.

In the March issue of Singing News, Vice President Danny Jones announced a subscription to the magazine is required to participate in the 2022 Fan Awards voting process. (The magazine had permitted non-subscribers to vote in 2021.)

REMEMBERING

Inspirations founder, pianist, and emcee Martin Cook passed away on Wednesday, February 23. He had been recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and moved to Hospice care. Cook organized The Inspirations in 1964 and traveled with the group until 2017.
