The Pine Ridge Boys announced the addition of baritone singer Tim Webster who previously performed with his father George Amon Webster as a member of the Heartland Boys/Quartet. Webster replaces long-time baritone and founding tenor singer Wayne Shuford who retired last year.

The Southern Gospel Music Association announced a series of “Southern Gospel Breakfast Hour” shows at Biblical Times Theater in Pigeon Forge during June and July. The first show is set for June 10 with The Nelons as the featured group, and a second series is planned for November-December.

Daywind Music Publishing (DMP) reached a milestone recently, celebrating its 100th Singing News #1 song with “Somebody Tell” written by Jason Cox, Kenna West, and Sue C. Smith; and performed by Tribute Quartet.

An all-star quartet has been formed consisting of Johnny Parrack (Heismen/Kingsmen), Tim Maze (Singing Ambassadors/Canaan’s Crossing), Terry Carter (Port City/Anchormen), and Darin Hebert (WIlliamsons). The group assembled by producer Les Butler and billed as the Real Southern Gospel Quartet will release recorded music, but do not plan to tour.

The Inspirationals Quartet from Fort Worth, Texas has signed to release music through producer Les Butler’s REAL Southern Gospel Music record label.

Singing News announced their annual Songwriters Search contest is now open for submissions. Click HERE for details on how to enter. The entry fee is discounted through April 1.

Lynda Randle and Friends: A Pilgrim’s Journey is slated to premiere on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) Thursday, February 17 at 8:00 pm ET. Randle’s network special celebrating Black History Month will also feature producer/vocalist Tommy Sims and Michael Tait who is a founding member of dc Talk, current Newsboys front-man, and Randle’s brother.
