NEWS OF THE WEEK

A new album by Ronny Hinson celebrating the 50th anniversary of “The Lighthouse” and a television documentary will be released in October. The album (The Lighthouse Fifty Year Celebration) will include a new version of the song. A special music video for the song will also be filmed at Pigeon Point Lighthouse near Pescadero, California, the location where The Hinsons’ 1971 album cover was photographed.

Autumn Thompson of The Nelons is selling “Team Jeff” shirts in support of Jeff & Stacey Stice. Click HERE for details. Please continue to remember Jeff who remains in serious condition recovering from Covid in addition to surgery on his spine after suffering a fall two weeks ago.

David Bruce Murray is a church music director in Ellenboro, NC. He is the author of Murray's Encyclopedia Of Southern Gospel Music and the owner of both SGHistory.com and MusicScribe.com. David plays piano for Southern Sounds Quartet and the Foothills Community Choir.

    I know it’s place has probably been debated already but I’m looking forward to the gospel album from William Lee Golden and the Goldens.

    But I don’t think Leslie Jordan’s hymn album got announced here either

    Not trying to be nit-picky, but Autumn Clark (Amber’s sister) is the one making and selling the t-shirts benefiting Jeff & Stacey Stice. I just wanted to clarify in the event people want to purchase one, so they’re sent to the right person.
