Wow. That list of SeaWalkerMedia’s board of directors is shameful. Nothing against any of the men, but not even a token female? Really?

I know. right? Considering Karen Peck is one of the owners of Abraham Productions. She should be on the board instead of putting her son in charge. Seriously, I’m being sarcastic. Some people are just looking for things to complain about. I’m offended that they don’t have a black or latino person on the board…. What can I do to be more woke? Change your names Dixie Melody Boys and Dixie Echoes. I’m sooooo offended. :)

I am really happy to see Buddy Mullins back singing again. I have always loved his singing. Plus Gaither has always spoken very highly of him. It is too bad the Booth Brothers as we know them will be a thing of the past, but Buddy was a good choice for a replacement. He will help them keep sounding good.

The Mullins were way under appreciated in their time. So glad to see Paul and Buddy back together!
I kinda thought the same thing when I saw men only on the Sea Walker board. I’m sure it’s a good move for the Singing News Magazine but it feels kinda like a monopoly of the SG game with the SN magazine, SN radio and Gospel Greats all in the same hands.

It may seem that way, but there are other big players in the business. NQC still carries a lot of weight. Daywind is huge right now. Gaither still does Gaither. enLighten really has a lot of clout as long as the powers that be at Sirius/XM don’t go crazy and nix it again. (enLighten is the biggest game in town in terms of SG radio.)

I just hope we can see an effective result where the genre begins to grow again.
