Daywind Music Publishing announced they have reached an exclusive songwriting agreement with former LifeWay Worship head Mike Harland. Since leaving LifeWay, Harland has been an Associate Worship Pastor at First Baptist in Jackson, Mississippi.

Brian Free & Assurance announced veteran baritone Mike Rogers is leaving the trio to accept a full-time position at his home church. All baritone singers interested in applying for the vacant position should email two songs showcasing their singing ability along with a bio, photo, and statement about themselves to [email protected]

Singing News magazine advised would-be subscribers this week that an unauthorized party has been offering subscriptions for sale. Subscriptions can only be purchased at the official Singing News website, via phone with a Singing News customer rep, or from an authorized artist at a concert.


Chuck Compton of The Comptons passed away on Sunday, January 17. A memorial service for Compton will be held tomorrow in Verdunville, West Virginia.


Thank you for praying for former Chuck Wagon Gang bass singer Dave Emery last week. Emery reports he is improving and his doctors expect he will be able to return home on January 25. Please pray he will continue to improve.
