GOSPEL MUSIC HAPPENINGS
The Mark Trammell Quartet announced Stephen Adair will leave the Dixie Echoes to join their group in early September. Jeff Hawkins of Cookesville, Tennessee will fill the tenor spot until Adair’s arrival.
In related news, the Dixie Echoes announced they are accepting auditions for the tenor position. Interested parties should submit their demos by email to scootde78@aol.com
IMC Concerts announced they are expanding their Praisefest brand in Branson, Missouri with a new event next fall called Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat. The promoters will continue their spring event in Branson as well.
Great American Jubilee is a new television program set to be distributed to more than 500 networks each week. Mike LeFevre, Karen Peck Gooch, and Danny Jones will serve as hosts for the new venture with a launch date planned for early 2020.
PRAYER REQUEST
Please pray for Daniel Riley of Gold City who is awaiting surgery for an broken ankle while also recovering from surgery on a broken wrist. Riley suffered these injuries after falling from a ladder on Tuesday, July 23. He had surgery for his wrist on July 26, but the doctors are waiting on swelling to go down before attempting surgery on his ankle.

I’ll be interested to hear Stephen with the MTQ. In my mind, I hear him singing those old-time, classic songs with the Echoes. Not that his new group doesn’t sing the classics,they just do a lot more “modern sounding” songs than his former group. But I have a feeling he will fit right in. Just like Gus has done with Tribute….
