Talk about Jesus

by | Sep 2, 2018 | Uncategorized

I was visiting with a friend the other night and was struck by how easily she talked about the Lord. It wasn’t contrived or forced, but it flowed. She gave Him the credit for everything.

It seems like many people are not that comfortable talking about what God is doing, even at church. However, if Jesus is truly our Lord, we should not hesitate to talk about Him. He should permeate every area of life.

I do not have trouble giving glory to God when talking to other Christians, but when it comes to talking with unbelievers, I hesitate. I may go on and share about God’s blessings anyway, but it bothers me that I have that momentary pause.

Jesus said, “For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26).

This world needs more bold Christians who are not ashamed of Jesus. It may be uncomfortable at first, but I expect it will get easier as you go. Why not take time this week to tell someone what Jesus has done for you?
