The Pine Ridge Boys announced the departure of baritone singer Jackson Smith. Smith, who joined the group in 2022, plans to remain active in the Gospel music scene as a singer and songwriter, just at a slower pace.
Justified Quartet announced the addition of baritone singer Aaron Swain who replaces group co-founder and 15-year veteran, Mark Jacoby. Swain had traveled with PromisedLand Quartet from 2015 until they retired in August 2025. He has filled in with several groups in recent weeks, perhaps most notably for Gold City’s Danny Riley in September.
Hillsboro, Ohio-based trio GloryWay announced the addition of baritone singer Jerry Green.
3 Heath Brothers announced they will be joining the 40-city Winter Jam tour in 2026. They be featured during the “Pre Jam” segment along with Jeremy Rosado and Cliff Preston. Headline groups include NewSong, Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, Katy Nichole, Hulvey, Disciple, and Emerson Day along with speaker Zane Black. A 1995 event in Greenville, South Carolina branded as January Jam launched what ultimately became Winter Jam, still going after 30 years.
2026 Grammy Award nominees have been announced. Nominees for Best Roots Gospel album include I Will Not Be Moved (Live)/The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir; Then Came The Morning/Gaither Vocal Band; Praise & Worship: More Than A Hollow Hallelujah/The Isaacs; Good Answers/Karen Peck & New River; and Back To My Roots/Candi Staton.
