The Southern Gospel Music Guild honored singer/songwriter Joel Hemphill on Tuesday with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Southern Gospel Music Guild also selected Ricky Carden of the Down East Boys to serve as the organization’s new president. Carden replaces Elliott McCoy.
The Gospel Harmony Boys announced the return of bass singer Henry Riffe. Riffe previously traveled with the group from 2011 to 2014.
REMEMBERING
Mark Forester of The Foresters passed away this week. His family plans to have a private memorial ceremony and requests time to deal with their loss.
