The Museum of Christian and Gospel Music holds its grand opening today in Nashville, Tennessee. For the first time in its 55-year history, the GMA’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame will have a physical location within the museum. The Hall’s first inductees were G. T. “Dad” Speer and James Parks “Big Jim”/”Pappy” Waits in 1971. Nearly 200 more members have been enshrined over the decades. 

 The City of Hendersonville, Tennessee announced that it will be hosting a Dedication Ceremony on Tuesday, October 21 to honor long-time Hendersonville residents The Oak Ridge Boys with the naming of the bridge that crosses Drakes Creek along Johnny Cash Parkway.
