If you knew Him like I know Him
You would know that He’s alive
If you felt Him like I feel Him
Resurrection deep inside
You’d know He’s living, and death has died!
If you attend a traditional church, there’s a good chance that you sang the following words this morning:
I serve a risen Savior
He’s in the world today
I know that He is living
Whatever man may say
I see His hand of mercy
I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near
But I wonder how many of us truly live those words. Do we live as though our Savior were alive, as though He could call us to see Him at any moment? It’s easy to lose sight of that amid the stresses of day-to-day life, but the truth remains whether we are aware of it or not.
I’m thankful that this life is not all I have to look forward to. I rejoice in the fact that God loved this world so much that He sent His only Son to die so that we might spend eternity with Him. I hope that I never take that for granted. I’m glad that He left His Spirit so that I can feel His presence, as well as His conviction, in order to be reminded that He is alive, and He is watching over me every moment.
I trust that Jesus is real to you. He is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is still alive! Let’s not forget that as we get back to our regular routines this week.
