NEWS OF THE WEEK

In an email to members on Thursday, the Southern Gospel Music Association announced a partnership with SGHistory.com. The SGMA will make their members aware of the extensive resources offered at SGHistory.com while also promoting their own exclusive content. SGHistory.com will in turn actively encourage the thousands of individuals who visit the site annually to join the SGMA. (MusicScribe and SGHistory.com are owned by David Bruce Murray.)

David Phelps recently made his debut performance on the historic Grand Ole Opry. Phelps’ set included the songs “Hello Beautiful,” “Come To Jesus,” and the concert favorite “No More Night.”

Sister/brother duo Lynda Randle and Michael Tait (Newsboys/dc Talk) announced a Christmas tour starting November 27 at Blue Gate Performing Arts Center in Shipshewana, Indiana. Other stops include Alexandria, Virginia; Santa Clarita, California; Great Bend, Kansas; Westover, Alabama; and Orlando, Florida.

William Lee Golden & The Goldens announced plans to release three new albums in early 2022 including an all-gospel album titled Old Country Church Gospel. The first single from the family group, “Come And Dine,” was released today.

The Down East Boys announced the addition of bass vocalist Alex Utech. Utech performed previously with the Dixie Echoes and the Diplomats.
