NEWS OF THE WEEK

StowTown Records announced the additions of David Phelps, Legacy Five, and The Booth Brothers to their family of recording artists.. Each artist will have new music releasing soon as a result of their partnership with the Johnson City, Tennessee-based label.

Legacy Five announced the addition of pianist Garrett Anderson. Anderson replaces Josh Townsend who resigned earlier this year.

Artist Resource Services (ARS) a division of New Day Christian Distributors announced the formation of Big Picture Records. The first artist representing the new label will be Michigan-based quartet, Justified.

The 2021 Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) Christian Awards were announced on Monday. BMI’s Top 25 Christian songs for the year include:
“Going There” (Lee Black/Scotty Inman)
“River” (Dave Clark/Karen Peck)
“Sometimes It’s The Radio” (Joseph Habedank/Jimmy Yeary)
“The God I Serve” (Rebecca Isaacs Bowman/Sonya Isaacs/Karen Peck/Jimmy Yeary)
“You Are Loved” (Sheri Easter/Marcia Henry)

The Pine Ridge Boys announced the addition of bass guitar player Louie Sprouse. Sprouse performed previously with the Palmetto State Quartet and co-owns Emerald Tours and Cruises with his wife Gail.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please keep former Stamps Quartet/Trio singer and long-time soloist Donnie Sumner in your prayers. A recent heart cath revealed several blockages. Please pray for wisdom for his doctors as they prepare for surgery (possibly today).

Please pray for Susan Peck Jackson of Karen Peck & New River as she awaits the results of a biopsy.

Please pray for Susan Hyssong of The Hyssongs as she recovers from surgery for breast cancer.
