The Pine Ridge Boys announced the departure of tenor singer Mike Maggard who has sung with the group since 2018. A commute of more than 5 hours plus limitations placed on the group in recent months by the COVID-19 pandemic factored into Maggard’s decision.

In related news, Pine Ridge Boys manager and bass singer Larry Stewart announced the additions of tenor singer Steven Williams and pianist Zachary Clark.

Due to limited concert dates during the COVID-19 pandemic, both Andrew Goldman and Troy Peach have left The Perrys to take other jobs. Group manager Libby Perry plans to wait until the group is able to resume a more consistent touring schedule before hiring permanent replacements. For the time being, the Perrys will appear with talented fill-in singers at upcoming concert dates.

In related news, Troy Peach announced he was recently hired by his home church, Hillcrest Baptist Church, in Lebanon, Tennessee to the position of Music Minister. Peach will also continue to host his radio program “Southern Nights” on Singing News Radio.

The 3 Heath Brothers recently won the Best Young Filmmaker award for their music video “Smell Of Smoke” at the Christian Worldview Film Festival. The annual event is sponsored by the Kendrick Brothers (Facing the Giants, Fireproof).

The Ark Encounter and Abraham Productions jointly announced the “world’s largest Christian music festival.” Billed as 40 Days & 40 Nights of Gospel Music at The Ark, the festival is scheduled for August 2, 2021 thru September 10 in 2021 at The Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky with top gospel groups and evangelists featured daily.

Sunday Drive performed at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky recently for the National Street Rod Association. The group performs at many National Street Rod Association (NSRA) events across the nation each year.

Main Street Music & Entertainment and Oak Tree Productions have teamed up to launch a new online streaming series called Front Row Center. The series kicks off on September 13th, 2020 at 7:00 PM (EDT)/6:00 PM (CDT) with performances by Carolina and The Original Dove Brothers Quartet. Click HERE for tickets (streaming or in-person).
