GOSPEL MUSIC HAPPENINGS
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) announced the 2019 Golden Note Award will be presented to Russ and Tori Taff at their awards show on August 21. This award is presented to songwriters, composers and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones.
After teasing fans for several weeks, Melissa Brady released a new album titled Shine last Friday and announced she is partnering with a new record label, 65 South. We heard the news in time to include the album title in last Friday’s News Nuggets article, but we did not have access to the cover art in time to share it…so here it is now.
Ashley Franks, Katy Peach, and Jaquita Lindsey launched a new blog called Melody Without Measure. The new venture’s stated goal is to “share a more open and honest dialogue about life, ministry, motherhood, marriage, music, health, and more.”
