• The Guardians announced bass singer Pat Barker has become a full-time member of the group. With this move, the Guardians have transitioned from a trio to a quartet. Barker has stated he will fulfill all current Second Half Quartet dates.
• Voting is now open for the 2018 Singing News Fan Awards. Click HERE to vote. You must be a subscriber to Singing News to participate.
• The Gospel Music Association Foundation announced the 2018 inductees to the GMA Hall Of Fame will be Karen Peck Gooch, Carmen, The Staples Singers, and Greg Nelson. The GMAF will also honor Marvin Sapp, Chonda Pierce, Ryan Lampa, and Lipscomb University for their humanitarian service projects. The event will be held May 8 at Libscomb University.

Remembering

• “America’s Pastor,” Billy Graham, passed away on Wednesday, February 21. Graham’s body will lie in honor on Monday and Tuesday at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. His body will then be moved to the US Capitol rotunda in Washington, DC, where he will lie in honor on Feburayr 28 and March 1. The funeral will be held on March 2 in Charlotte, NC.
