My brain is going in so many directions right now that I’m not sure what to write. I’m praying that God will show me what the readers of this blog need, but I am weary which makes me wonder if I have anything to contribute today.
I am always inspired when I see someone like Michael Helwig of the Blackwood Brothers sing “I’d Rather Have Jesus.” He has a crippling disease and yet he didn’t let it stop him from making an appearance at the National Quartet Convention in order to make that declaration. Sometimes it takes people like that to remind me that the trials of life truly are light and temporary, even though they do not seem like it at the time.
I am struggling today but I am only a couple days away from being able to rest and refuel. God’s timing is always perfect.
To those who spend their life traveling and encouraging others, giving up their comfort and a “normal” life in order to do so, do not be discouraged. If God has called you to this, you have to trust that He is using you more than you may think. Stay close to Him. Make time to seek His face, even on the road. I think the greatest discouragements come when we are too busy to get that quiet time. Don’t forsake that. Too many get so involved in ministry that they forget the One who gave them their “ministry.” Nothing good ever comes of that.
I hope you all have a blessed week. Don’t get distracted by the cares of this world. May God be glorified in everything you do. He is faithful!
