Recent Happenings

  • Michael Combs announced he will make his first ever NQC mainstage appearance as part of Jeff & Sheri Easter’s Wednesday evening set.
  • Daywind Music Publishing announced the addition of songwriter Hunter Leath to its roster of songwriters.
  • Michigan-based Master’s Promise announced that Jamie Streetman, fiance of group member Rachel Sancricca, is replacing five-year veteran Katelyn Montgomery at the end of 2017. Streetman is the current lead singer for Paul’s Journey.
  • It was announced that at least 20 of Christian Music’s top artists will unite on September 20 in Grand Prairie, Texas for Night Of Hope, a Hurricane Harvey relief concert. Jason Crabb and Zach Williams are two of the artists scheduled to appear.

Prayer Request

  • Please remember several Southern Gospel artists who had damage to product, sound equipment, and vehicles at a parking lot that was flooded in Goodlettsville, Tennessee last week. Groups affected included the Chuck Wagon Gang, Legacy Five, and The Perrys.

Trivia Nugget

  • There have been three versions of the Talleys/Talley Trio with Roger Talley being the common denominator. Prior to joining the Hopper Brothers & Connie in 1974, Roger, his brother Kirk, and sister Diane, sang together and recorded at least two albums. In January 1983, the second version of the Talleys consisted of Roger, Kirk, and Roger’s wife, Debra. They sang until the early 1990s. In 1995, a local bank asked Roger to put together a Christmas program. The appearance by Roger, Debra, and their daughter, Lauren, led to more calls for concerts, so in 1996, the third version of the Talleys hit the road.

Every time I see the Kingdom Heirs cover, I think of this one:

Has anyone gotten the Alive Deep In the Heart of Texas DVD yet? Is it pressed or burned? What is the quality? Is it from the original tape, or someone’s worn out VHS copy?
