First Look: Jonathan Mattingly with The Blackwood Brothers Quartet
With the departure of Michael Helwig, Billy Blackwood had quite a challenge finding a new lead singer to take his place. That challenge has now been met with the hiring of 24-year old Jonathan Mattingly, who formerly sang with the Mattingly Family. He has been with the group for a couple of weeks now and this was my first chance to see the new lineup as they performed at the Stamps-Baxter School of Music in Murfreesboro, TN this afternoon. Great songs and sound by the BB quartet! Mattingly has a very full, mature and mellow voice and is a pleasure to hear in his solos. The balance is amazingly good for a live performance, Thanks for sharing this.

I’ve known Jonathan Mattingly ever since he was a little boy. He is a very good singer and an even better MAN!! He will bless everyone in his music and his dedication to the Lord.
