Well, I’ve been waiting for DBM to add a “like” button to our comments section for a while, but he’s apparently too busy looking for News Nuggets, so I decided to do it myself!
You now have the option of “liking” or “disliking” comments on MusicScribe. What does this mean for you, the readers? It means you now have the option of “liking” or “disliking” comments on MusicScribe. Duh. It doesn’t do anything to an article’s rating or status. It’s just a simple little feature added to make your visit here enjoyable and a little more interactive by one more click.
That being said, it DOES allow us to work up contests, surveys, polls, etc., by counting the number of likes a particular comment gets, so don’t be surprised if we do something like that in the near future.
And since comments are still moderated, we will NOT be allowing defenses for comments that are disliked. If you post a comment, and it gets 25 dislikes and 2 likes, then suck it up, buttercup. This isn’t Facebook, and you don’t get to argue with people who don’t like your comment.
To celebrate this momentous (?!) occasion, consider this an open (yet still moderated) thread to try out the new like/dislike buttons. The same general rules apply as always: be respectful.

Good deal Lucille.
