NEWS THIS WEEK

A new musically-driven film titled Southern Gospel is now in production with Max Ehrich (Under The Dome, The Young & The Restless) in the lead role. The plot is described as follows, “When a rock n roll star’s life comes crashing down, he must fight his past demons to realize his childhood ambition of becoming a preacher” (from imdb.com[1]). It is not yet clear if the film’s title describes the style of music to be included in the film. (Requests for clarification from the studio and the writer/director have not yet been acknowledged.)

Due to the cancellation of the Creekside Gospel Music Convention, the Diamond Awards Show has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2020 at People’s Tabernacle Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Fans can also watch the event live on the SGN Scoops[2] Facebook page.

The Perrys have released a new lyric video for their song “Never A Time.” Check it out below:

This is the description I found about the album…

From two of the most beloved groups in Southern Gospel music, we give you Brotherhood Their concert tour exceeded expectations with sell-out crowds every night of the tour. Due to the popularity of the tour, and after demand from fans, it will continue with a project to allow fans to take the concert experience home with them. The concert and this CD feature Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and The Booth Brothers coming together in a more intimate setting to sing familiar songs. Favorites such as “I’ll Fly Away,” “Sweet Beulah Land,” and “In the Garden” allow the audience to participate in a sing-along style they love. With gospel harmonies and an acoustic band, Brotherhood is sure to have you singing along, too.
