NEWS THIS WEEK

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound announced the group is suspending touring in 2020 with plans to resume in March 2021. The group also announced plans to launch a “longer expanded weekly concert series/ TV/webisode” on September 11.

Chapel Valley announced a new partnership with Sue Dodge. Amos and Sue Dodge recently retired after founding and pastoring Capital Church for over 40 years, and Sue has resumed traveling, singing, and sharing the gospel. Sue’s new Christmas recording for Chapel Valley will be released in a few months.

The McKameys retired from full-time touring in 2019. A stop on their final tour included a special showcase during the National Quartet Convention. Footage from that event will be released on DVD in July along with a companion CD, both titled LIVE Like No Other.

The Gospel Fest at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch for 2020 has been canceled out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of the fans. The promoters plan to resume the event in 2021 and will honor 2020 tickets then.

    Glad to see you mention the decision by Ernie. Signature Sound seems like the group who can make something like this work. I wonder if this might be a preview of how some other groups will handle these changing times. A lot can be accomplished with media these days.
