GOSPEL MUSIC HAPPENINGS

The Mark Trammell Quartet has announced that tenor singer Blake Buffin will be leaving the group at the end of July. Buffin has been with the MTQ since 2015.

Avenue Trio’s Corey Lackey announced he is leaving the group. Former Tribute Quartet tenor Riley Harrison Clark will be filling in until a replacement is named.

Congratulations to former Imperials/Gaither Vocal Band tenor Jim Murray and Brenda Hall Nielsen who were married in a private ceremony on Monday, June 24 in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Singing News magazine announced voting is now open for the final round of the 2019 Fan Awards. The winners will be announced during a showcase on Wednesday, September 25 at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Click HERE to vote. (You must be a Singing News subscriber.)

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, the newly announced Icon Destinations will offer tours to the Holy Land with popular music artists headlining each trip. Kevin Stevens, a veteran artist/tour manager, has been appointed as Vice President of Icon Group and will helm the Nashville team.
