GOSPEL MUSIC HAPPENINGS

Legacy Five announced original baritone Scott Howard is retiring. Howard’s retirement will coincide with the departure of tenor Josh Feemster whose plans were announced two weeks ago. Howard will ultimately join Danley Sound Labs where he will assist clients with their audio needs.

After winning a one million dollar Powerball prize, Southern Gospel singer Lloyd Dockery of Lowell, NC says his plans include giving some of his winnings to his church, paying off his house, and buying a new guitar.

Mansion Entertainment announced the addition of Rainsville, Alabama trio Point Of Honor to their roster of recording artists.

The Southern Gospel Music Association announced the acquisition of a music collection from Harold Timmons of Nashville, Tennessee. The collection consists of nearly 10,000 items and will be the foundation of the soon-to-be-established SGMA Research Library.

The National Quartet Convention announced the launch of a new television series called NQC’s American Gospel. The program will be available on NQC’s on-demand platforms including the NQC YouTube Channel, NQCOnline, and the Roku Channel NQCTV.

Billy Blue Records announced the signing of Donna Ulisse to the label as a recording artist. Ulisse also signed an exclusive songwriting contract with the label’s associated publishing company, Billy Blue Publishing.

Tim Menzies recently signed an exclusive recording agreement with New Day Records.

Please keep the Perrys in your prayers today, particularly Andrew Goldman. Their bus was struck in the windshield this morning by a tire from a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Goldman was driving and suffered cuts to his face.
