Gospel Music Happenings

  • Southern Raised will complete a six-week run at the Blue Gate Theater in Shipshewana, Indiana tomorrow. This is the first extended engagement for a single group promoted at the famous theater.
  • The Ball Brothers announced Matt Davis is leaving the group after 2 1/2 years with the group. Those interested in auditioning for the open position should send a resume, one mp3 and/or youtube links to: theballbrothers@hotmail.com
  • Alabama-based artist management agency Mic Check One announced they have signed their first Country Gospel artist, The Kendricks.
  • Fuseic Entertainment announced a new feature-length film titled Russ Taff: I Still Believe. The documentary chronicles Taff’s struggles with addiction and redemption and premiers at an unspecified date this fall.
  • M.A.C. Records announced the addition of their newest artist, Jessica Horton, to the Route 82 Records division.
  • The nominations for the 2018 Dove Awards were announced this past week. Nominees with Southern, Country, and Bluegrass Gospel connections include:
