Gospel Music Happenings

  • The Southern Gospel Music Association announced the Hall Of Fame Class of 2018 will include Ann Downing and Mark Trammell in the Living category as well as Tracy Stuffle and Norman Wilson in the Deceased category. The Induction ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 25 at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee during the National Quartet Convention.
  • Jonathan Taylor of The Taylors announced his engagement to Lynsey Vicars. The two are planning a wedding next April.
  • Bob Sellers, who recently left the Kingsmen Quartet to focus on a solo ministry, announced he is partnering with Butler Music Group for publicity and media representation.

Remembering

  • Singing News columnist Bob Crawford passed away on Wednesday, June 20 after suffering a fall on Sunday, June 10. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 26 in Nashville, Tennessee.
