Faithful Again was recently released by StowTown Records, and is the third project recorded by The Taylors since joining the label in 2014. This collection features nine songs and clocks in at 35 minutes. The Taylors, as you may already know, are a trio consisting of siblings Jonathan, Suzanne, and Chris.
I am most impressed by The Taylors on songs where Suzanne takes the melody, so it’s not at all a criticism when I report that five of the nine songs on Faithful Again feature Suzanne on melody and/or solos. “Love Still Flows” and “Every Hallelujah” are both upbeat tracks featuring Suzanne. The former is a bluegrass-influenced toe-tapper while the latter is piano driven. “Making Me Stronger” is a mid-paced feature for Suzanne with an orchestrated track that includes some compelling strings passages. She also shares the melody on “The Sweetest Name I Know” and carries the melody throughout “Honored, Exalted, & Glorified,” a great song previously recorded in 2004 by the Christ Tabernacle Choir.
My rating for this CD is 3 1/2 stars on a scale of 1-5 Stars. The production quality and song selection on Faithful Again are good, just as I’d expect from a major record label. I just wish the vocal harmonies were more balanced in terms of matching energy levels, tones, and dynamics.

I would agree with you on Suzanne having their most shining moments. I think Stowtown or Wayne Haun see that since most of their radio singles from the last project were her features. It’s funny, a few years ago reviewers were all high on the other sister. I think their blend is tighter now as a trio.
I will say I do enjoy Anything Less featuring one of the brothers and it’s great to see Mountain Of Sorrow revived from an old Heirloom album—great lyric! I don’t think it got much attention it’s firsttime around.
